Story of Shishupal

As per folklore, Shishupal was born with three eyes and four arms. A divine voice said that the extra body parts will disappear when placed on the lap of the person who would eventually kill Shishupal. The extra body parts disappeared when the baby was placed on Bhagwan Sri Krishn's lap. Shishupal's mother took a promise from Bhagwan Sri Krishn that he would pardon 100 mistakes of Shishupal. A few years later, Rukmi wanted to get his sister (Rukmini) married to Shishupal. Instead, Bhagwan Sri Krishn eloped with Rukmini and married her. This made Shishupal hate Bhagwan Sri Krishn. On the auspicious day of Yudhishthir’s Rajasuya Yagna, Shishupal repeatedly hurled insults at Bhagwan Sri Krishn. When the insults crossed 100, Bhagwan Sri Krishn hurled the Sudarshan Chakr and beheaded Shishupal
