Why?

If placed at :

• First position: Ranged attack will not work
• Second position: If a card at First position retires early, then Shakuni will not be able to attack

If placed in Last position :

• It has low Stamina and needs protection from cards which have Ghatak ability that enables them to attack the card at the Last Position. Cards with Ghatak ability are Vikat, Bhurishrav, Dushpradharshan, Shalya.

Kark :

Attacks from any position; targets lowest Stamina card

Cards with Kark :

Level 1 onwards : Anuvind, Senavindu, Arjun

Cards with Kark ability target the lowest Stamina card and can attack from any position. Shakuni has low Stamina and is at a greater risk of getting attacked by such cards.

Pushpak:

Dodges Physical and Ranged attacks

Cards with Pushpak:

Level 1 onwards : Stunkarn, Satyaki, Subahu, Shwetaki, Shishupal, Vakr
Level 4 onwards : Vishalaksh, Suhast
Level 5 onwards : Hidimb, Vikat, Sama, Vikarn
Level 10 : Duhsah

Cards with Pushpak ability can dodge Physical and Ranged attacks. This means, Shakuni’s attack on cards with Pushpak ability has a high chance of getting missed.

Mrugaya :

Targets First Astr/Ranged attack card in positions 2 - 6

Cards with Mrugaya:

Level 1 onwards : Satyaki, Uttar, Sama, Pashi

Cards with Mrugaya ability will target cards with Astr/Ranged attack and are not placed in the first position. If all cards before Shakuni are Physical attack cards, then Shakuni will be targeted by Mrugaya ability cards.

ShastrBhransh:

Reduces damage from Physical and Ranged attacks

Cards with ShastrBhransh:

Level 1 onwards : Hidimb, Virbahu, Vajradatt

Level 5 onwards : Alambush
