Story of Danda

Dandadhar was the name of a Magadh king (as well). Danda was his brother. After killing Jarasandh, Yudhisthir wanted to perform the Rajsuya Yagna. The 4 Pandav brothers embarked on the Digvijay Yatra which is a prelude to the Yagna. As part of the conquest expedition, Bheem went to conquer the kingdoms to the East of Indraprasth. Bheem defeated Dandadhar as well as Danda. Later in the Kurukshetr war, Danda and Dandadhar fought on the side of the Kauravs. After Karn became the commander of the Kaurav army, Dandadhar battled against Arjun but was killed. Danda, then, mounted an elephant and attacked Arjun. Danda, too, was killed by Arjun after a fierce battle.
